ROMANS - Groaning & Glory

SERMON

Gary Aston will be preaching to us from Romans 8:18-30 this Sunday as we think about the groaning we can experience as we feel the effects of sin and the glory that is ours in Christ.

LITURGY

COMMITMENT READING

Brothers and sisters, let us not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.

So let us fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

(2 Corinthians 4:16-18)

MUSIC

  • O God of Mercy Hear Our Plea (Sovereign Grace): A song that pleads with God to hear our prayers as we join in creations groaning for Jesus to return.

  • How Great Thou Art: A hymn that sings of the glory of God seen in his creation.
