CALL TO WORSHIP

When we gather as a church like this we don’t just do so as a tradition.

Sundays are not a way to be religious people, doing religious things

No- Sundays start with God
When the church gathers we do so because God has called us
In Jesus he has come to show mercy to us
He started this and Sundays are part of our response to him

So please stand with me & join in reading the underlined portions of this call to worship

When the goodness and loving kindness of God our Saviour appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy.

He washed us by the regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Saviour.

And so we have been justified by his grace so that we might become his heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

CONFESSION AND ASSURANCE

When we're faced with God's character we are reminded of our weakness and the ways we doubt him. Sometimes we don't believe God cares for us and when trials come we think he's abandoned us. We can so easily put our trust in other things, instead of the one who has promised to be with us.
Take some moments in the silence of your heart to speak with God about where you are struggling to trust & believe him.
Let's pray these words together, asking for God's help in this.

Father God, help us to cast our worries and anxieties upon you, knowing that you care for us and are sovereign over all. Help us to trust you, even in the most difficult situations, knowing that your ways are greater than ours. Amen.

Let's sing out with full assurance of what Jesus has done for us.

PASSING OF THE PEACE

We've been reconciled to God through Jesus Christ, this brings us peace with God and peace with one another too.

Every week we like to demonstrate this peace by greeting those around us for a few minutes.

It's also time for Creche and Redeemer Kids. Creche and Pre-school go out to my right and Redeemer Kids are out the back.

READING OF THE WORD

ROMANS: 12:1-21

PREACHING OF THE WORD

Gary Aston preached to us from Romans 12:1-21 this Sunday as we re-started our series in Romans for the final time. Click here to listen to that sermon.

PRE-COMMUNION READING

COMMUNION

POST COMMUNION READING

Jesus' death brings us life and this meal reminds us that we are fed by Jesus and forgiven because of Jesus.

We rejoice that You have died, rose again, and are now with the Father advocating for us. Amen.

With our money, time, and talent we give generously, knowing that through Your Son, Jesus, You have generously given to us.

We rejoice that You have given everything and we joyfully give everything back to Your care. Amen.

COMMITMENT READING

Let’s remind ourselves of who we are as the church as we pray together

Please join me in the underlined parts of the prayer

Father God, help us to grow in every way to be more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. Remind us that he makes the whole body fit together perfectly.

From him the whole body, joined and held together, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

Thank you that we are not alone and you have promised to send your Spirit to help us in this. amen.

(based on Ephesians 4:15-16)

BENEDICTION

May the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, so that he may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.

Peace be with you

And also with you.
