Moving to a new city is exciting, but it can also be a little unsettling. Whether you're moving to Leeds for work or study, it may take time to find your feet, build friendships and start to feel at home. We know, because many of us have done exactly the same thing.
We're biased, but we think Leeds is a brilliant city to live in! And Redeemer is full of people who arrived in Leeds not knowing anyone and found community here. Whether you're a Christian looking for a church home, or simply curious about faith and looking for a place to belong, we'd love to play our part in helping you settle.
Come on a Sunday. The easiest first step is just to come along. We meet on Sundays at 4pm at St Chad's Parish Centre, Otley Road, Headingley - and, from September 2026 at 6.30pm too.
Visit our New to Redeemer page for everything you need to know before you arrive. Someone from our Welcome Team will be there to say hello, and we offer every first-time newcomer a little welcome gift.
Get into a City Group. Sunday is a great start, but City Groups are where you'll really get to know people. These are mid-week gatherings in people's homes - with good food, honest conversation and a genuine mix of ages and backgrounds. For anyone new to Leeds, they're one of the quickest routes to feeling like you actually belong somewhere.
Get in touch. If you'd like to come along, ask a question, or simply meet someone for a coffee before committing to anything, please do get in touch. If you're coming to Leeds, to study, check out what we offer students. Either way, we're very happy to help you find your feet - in church and in the city.
