Baptism
Baptism is one of the most significant moments in a Christian's life. It's a public declaration - to God, to the church and to the world - that you belong to Jesus. It pictures what the gospel promises: dying to an old life and rising into a new one, united with Christ in his death and resurrection.
At Redeemer, we practise believers' baptism - which means we baptise people who have come to personal faith in Jesus, by full immersion in water. We believe this is the pattern we see in the New Testament, and we love celebrating it together as a church. We also recognise that some coming to Redeemer will have been baptised as infants and would not ordinarily baptise them again.

If you're a follower of Jesus and haven't yet been baptised, we'd warmly encourage you to take that step. Speak to one of our elders or get in touch and we can tell you more about what's involved and when our next baptism service is.
Membership
Attending Redeemer is a great start. But we believe God calls his people to something deeper than attendance - to genuine belonging, shared responsibility and committed family life.
Church membership is an invitation to belong fully to a family united in Jesus: to use your gifts for God's glory, to be known and cared for deeply, and to take shared responsibility for our church's life and mission.
Membership isn't designed to be a burden; it's a gift. It's the joy of knowing you truly belong, the privilege of contributing to something bigger than yourself, and the safety of walking through life with brothers and sisters who are committed to you.
If you'd like to find out more or begin the membership process, please speak with one of the elders or contact us. We'd be honoured to welcome you into our family.
